Description
we have a number of shorts to shoot for the BBC each one requiring different characters, many seem to fall into 20's mid 20's age range, but nothing that shouldnt be too difficult to cast for, here is a rough list of what we are looking for, nothing is set in stone, and we are always able to work around things if need be, but this gives a basic idea. Things can change but this is how things look at the moment:
1. requires a 'mr irresistible voice' only, has to be very smooth and sophisticated, like george clooney in out of sight, that sort of thing. a young attractive woman, and a 'geeky' looking man, or someone we can make to appear very self concious and nervous, etc. the story is roughly about how someone sees themself in their head and how this differs remarkably in real life when approaching a girl to chat up. 2. our second script is based at a wedding, so really we are after the main roles required here, such as best man, father of the bride, groom, bride, and probably a handul of extras to provide background work if needed. 3. next project is a stealth script, a man comes home late one night and creeps carefully back into his house, trying not to knock anything over, to be discovered that his wife knew he was home from the sound of the taxi, just requiring a husband and wife here for characters, could play older or younger, as we could get away with it being a couple living together, but would work better as a husband/wife team. 4. requires people in their 20s joshua lambert - late 20's zoe - attractive girlfriend mid 20s derek - skinhead mid 20s - tough looking, a man with 'presence' when writing this script we envisage pete postlewhaite so ideally someone looking mature and with good on screen prescence. 5. a music project, basically we are looking for a middle aged overweight possibly balding man who will be singing to a music track thinkin he is singing amazingly well like a professional singer or rock star (this will be conveyed in a series of cuts to how he percieves himself) so the contrast needs to be believable, he cannot sing and he also looks nothing like a rock/pop star! Our first air date is may 12th, and running one week each week from there, because the shorts have to be 1 minute 30 in length we think that it would only require a days shoot maximum to get all the shots we need so shouldnt tie up any actor for too long, they will basically be shot and edited the week before they are due to go on air, and then aired through the bbc local tv digital tv channels and placed on their website, we will also be having a feature written about the mr glass productions team which will further raise awareness for all people involved. We have also been promised that the series will air a number of times and so hopefully will pick up repeat viewings from a wide range of people. |
