East 15 Acting School has been training actors for over 40 years. Based on the work begun in Joan Littlewood’s famed Theatre Workshop, the school is international in its outlook, regarding itself as a bridge between the best of British and Continental traditions. With Alumni including Stephen Daldry, April De Angelis, and Alison Steadman, East 15 continues to produce actors, directors, writers and teachers of high calibre, all armed with the ability to find their place in the theatre profession but also filled with the inspiration, courage and skills to search for and to create exciting new work. The school merged with the University of Essex in September 2000. |
