About Harry.
Trained as a photographer in the late eighties, Harry takes the view that photography is “painting with light”.
Harry’s passion for photography led him to become an accomplished social photographer, having photographed social events for the rich and often famous in some of London most prestigious venues.
An interest in amateur dramatics beckoned Harry to study drama part –time at the City lit, during the mid nineties. Drawing from this experience he developed an awareness of the requirements of good casting photos, and their importance as a marketing tool. Simply put, good photos open doors, poor photos retire in the bin. He decided to set up shop, complimenting the CV’s, skills, individual looks and very importantly; hard work of the actors and entertainers he photographs. His approach is to photograph each person as an individual. Not just being happy with providing good technical photos, Harry wanted to truly understand the recipe for a great casting or actor’s photo, what makes a picture interesting and also an effective marketing tool? Why are most casting photos sent out never to be heard of again? While a few stand out and get noticed. He began asking questions; he talked to drama teachers, casting directors, theatrical agents, actors and fellow photographers alike, until he understood how to consistently get the results he wanted.
Working from his studio in St. John’s Wood he is now living this goal.
