Opera della Luna was established in 1994 to take over the work of The English Players. The aim of the company is to create new and innovative productions of musical theatre in English. Our work complements that of the larger companies by performing pieces which rarely appear in their repertoires. Through this work we hope to reach a wider and more diverse audience, and bring actors and singers together to profit from their exchange of skills and give them the chance to take leading rôles.
Since its inception in 1994, Opera della Luna has established itself as a highly original and innovative ensemble of extremely versatile singers and comedians. Our recent productions of The Merry Widow and HMS Pinafore have played to packed houses.
Opera della Luna is a registered charity, No.1044260. In the past the company has received donations from the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, The Esmée Fairbairn Charitable Trust, The Idlewild Trust, The Leche Trust, The Concordia Foundation, and other private individuals and businesses. We would be delighted to hear from trustees of charitable trusts, and are always willing and happy to discuss business sponsorship opportunities
