The First ‘must do’ as an actors is, always arrive early and be prepared. If you had lines to learn go over them again and make sure they are memorized. Don't be shocked or complain if the agent, director or producer changes your lines, it happens.
When you first enter a room always remember to introduce your self to people whom you will be working with or those you haven’t met before.
If there are children on set they usually will bring a parent or guardian. The parent of the child actor will usually have a designated area to wait in. and a guardian usually accompanies them on to set. Make sure you bring something to read or occupy their waiting time
All mobile phones, pagers or electrical equipment that may make a sound interfering with the shoot should be turned off, not left on silent as they can also interfere with the electrical equipment being used on set.
