Description
New faces bring websites to life VideoTile is a new presenter-led website service. http://intro.videotile.co.uk/ VideoTile removes the customary video frame to offer ‘Web Presenter’ video content ready to drop into a webpage. A VideoTile clip delivers content through live characters who present messaging, interact with the page and walk visitors around the website. The initiative responds to a call for richer media content by web designers and marketing professionals, as the broadband Internet market expands. Today, 60% of internet users in the UK are broadband-connected, a number that’s growing at a rate of 3% every month. “Companies and brands are looking to create more emotional engagement with customers through real human interaction.” says the creator of VideoTile, David Hines. “Web Presenters will become an integral part of new media as we start to see websites containing this compelling new content.” VideoTile is committed to giving talented actors a platform to launch their careers in Web Presenting and it plans to audition more presenters over the coming months. VideoTile is offered as a production service to website developers and designers, often working in conjunction with advertising agencies. The product is delivered in a folder containing all the file components ready to be added to a webpage. “It’s a simple job to apply VideoTile to a page using basic code, which is usually as little as five lines of HTML and JavaScript” said VideoTile’s Technical Director, Paul Maden. The VideoTile concept was originated and patented by Hines and two American partners in 1997 as a method of delivering large format video content over low bandwidth connections. Software and hardware improvements over the past 9 years have perfected the technique, delivering content that is compatible with the majority of today’s computers. “VideoTile incorporates real personality into a webpage. Many business owners will find this an ideal way to connect their unique brand values and attitude with their customers.” Said VideoTile’s Sales Director, Andrew Hines.
